KP Taekwondo (Kim's Premier Taekwondo) was founded to provide the highest-quality Taekwondo instruction to families across Oak Ridge, Jefferson, and Morris, Passaic & Sussex County. Located in Ridge Plaza on Berkshire Valley Road, our school offers a safe, energetic, and family-oriented environment where students of every age and experience level are encouraged to grow and succeed.

Our founder, Master David J. Kim, began his Taekwondo journey at the age of 5 and has dedicated more than 25 years to the art as both a competitor and an instructor. A 4th Dan Kukkiwon Certified Black Belt, US Open Champion, and US AAU National Team member, Master Kim brings elite-level experience to every class—from a child's very first lesson to the training of our Premier Competition Team.

At KP Taekwondo, we believe martial arts training is about more than physical fitness—it is about mental and emotional growth. Built on the principles of respect, self-discipline, and perseverance, our mission is to help each student become their best self, both on and off the mat. Through high-quality instruction and a positive, supportive atmosphere, students develop the discipline, confidence, and character that benefit them at school, at home, and in the community.
